I harbored just one singular dream – to be an artist. My mother, dubbing it a precarious profession, often warned that being a painter meant embracing a life of destitution. Yet, not engaging in the act of drawing felt akin to a slow demise. I felt like a fish stranded out of water, gasping for life. This was the impetus that initiated my journey into art. I've strolled through life, focused on this solitary dream, taking measured steps.
In my haste, I feared exhaustion might lead me to abandon my artistic pursuits, so I deliberately took moments to look around, finding joy in the journey. Now, having experienced the happiness art brought me, and the solace and comfort it provided, I aspire to share the beauty of the art world with my modest abilities.

Her goal is to create new relationships and exhibit an enjoyable and engaging experience that will enrich the entire community. She is looking forward to discovering the threads that connect us all!
She is best known for her unique Korean traditional folk-art paintings, which have often been exhibited throughout the Greater Toronto Area for the past few years and getting well recognized.
As an active member of the Burlington Fine Arts Association (BAFF) and Korean Artists Society of Canada (KASC) where she is continuously involved with, through their major art events often by exhibitions and workshops. If you attended one of these workshops and demonstrations you could be easily impressed with her wonderful artistry.
In February 2018, one particular painting that she portrayed her youngest daughter
riding a bike in the fascinating Korean folk-art style garnered an "Honorable Mention"
from the Burlington Fine Art Centre in Ontario.
Children, bird cage and flowers especially peonies are common objects in her paintings that could be representing her life literally or figuratively.
She perfectly captures precious moments from ordinary daily lives and recreates in her own unique style of painting on Korean traditional paper called "Hanji-paper" using special techniques. Many of art lovers are fascinated by her mastery of skills and knowledge of this unknown style of painting and her art works are getting more and more recognized among her peers and patrons of galleries.
She would like to continue working to introduce and establish this unknown Korean traditional art form not only to art communities but also to general public by sharing her profound knowledge and talent. She also hopes someday to be known as a great portrait artist specializing Korean traditional folk-art in Canada.
She was one of three artists chosen to be part of the CEMA(CANADIAN ETHNIC MEDIA ASSOCIATION) award winning television documentary in Canada, Healing Portraits Project.
