옥담화 (Oakdamhwa) 신년모임 1/29/2020

캐나다 온타리오에서 활동중인 한국화와 민화를 그리는 모임으로서
한국화의 재료와 다양한 미디엄을 이용하여 한국의 마음과 정서를
캐나다의 스타일로 그림에 담아 다음 세대를 위해 캐나다에서 전통을 지키는
화가들의 모임입니다.
한국화의 아름다움을 캐나다에 살고있는 다양한 나라의 사람들과 소통을 하는 것에
더 중점을 두었으며, 주제를 화가들의 삶을 이해하고 그 이야기를 그림에 담아내고 있습니다.

1. 옥담화는 매해 1월에 총회의를 합니다.

2. 연회비 $100은 1월 전체 회의를 할때 지불합니다.

3. 전시
옥담화는 매해 2회 그룹 전시를 할 예정입니다.
1회는 Rainbow Studio gallery에서 열리며, 2회째는 새로운 갤러리를 찾아내어
전시할 계획입니다.

Rainbow studio 에서 전시를 할시에 옥담화 비회원이나 Rainbow studio 수강생일시에 전시 참여가 가능합니다.

비회원의 Rainbow studio 전시 참가비는 $60 입니다.

4. 그룹전시 참가비
매 전시 마다 $40로 ($40x2=$80) 의 참가비가 있습니다.
매회 첫 전시회에 $80불을 지불합니다.
만약 전시관련 추가비용이 발생할 시에는 추가 부분은 균등하게 참여 작가가 지불합니다
그룹전시 참가비는 연회비와는 별도입니다.

5. 브로셔

브로셔는 연 1회 제작합니다.
브로셔는 대략 10일 정도 걸립니다. 전시일정 최소 10일 전 참여 회원들은 개인 프로필 사진, 전시 그림, Artist statement 등을 이멜로 보내야 합니다.

초대장은 포토샵으로 제작하여 카카오톡으로 보내드립니다.

6. 옥담화 그룹 1차 봄전시

옥담화의 첫 그룹전시는 2020년 5월 16~29일에서 2주간 레인보우 스튜디오에서 있을예정입니다. (2차 겨울 전시는 임원진들과 상의 하여 올려놓겠습니다.)

주제: 보자기
보자기는 과거와 현재 한국에서 사용하는 사각형 형태의 옷감으로 다양한 물건을 싸고 덮거나 담는데 사용합니다.

7. 7월에 Rainbow studio Juried show가 있을예정입니다.
이 전시에는 옥담화 멤버 외에 로컬 아티스트의 참가가 있을예정이며 Juro가 결정한 그림에 한해서 30명의 작가들의 그림이 걸릴예정입니다.

8. 추후 옥담화의 전시가 가능한 장소를 임원진들과 알아볼 예정입니다. (요양원, 병원, 시청 커뮤니티센터 라이브러리)

9. 브로셔 스폰서쉽

브로셔 제작시 스폰서를 모집합니다.

광고비 $100 - ½ 페이지 광고

후원이사회 모집입니다

브로셔 스폰서 분들을 위한 감사의 의미로 후원인의 밤을 주최할 예정입니다.
워크숍 혹은 강연, Trivia 등의 형태로 진행합니다.

브로셔 후원은 2차 전시시 진행합니다.

11. Rainbow Studio는 옥담화 회원 작가님들의 인포메이션을 rainbowstudio.ca 에 올릴예정입니다. 각자의 개인홈페이지나 인스타그램을 연결하거나 작품을 올려도 좋을것 같습니다.

Oakdamhwa Meeting January 29 2020

Oakdamhwa is a group of artists based in Ontario, Canada. We showcase Hangukhwa

(Korean traditional paintings) and Minhwa (Korean folk paintings) in Korean traditional form

and also in diverse formats which are reflections of the unique diversity Canada holds.

We aim to communicate and share our story with Canada where the people and landscape are diverse and multicultural.

1. Oakdamhwa will hold an annual general meeting every January of each year

2. Annual membership

Annual membership fee of $100 will be collected during the annual general meeting

3. Group Exhibition

Oakdamhwa aims for 2 group exhibitions per year.

First exhibition will be held at Rainbow Studio & Gallery
Second exhibition is aim to be held at a different venue from the first exhibition

When the Oakdamhwa group exhibition is held at Rainbow Studio and you are a student of

Rainbow Studio but a non member you can still participate in the group exhibition as a non member.

Non member group exhibition participation fee is $60.

4. Group Exhibition

When a Group Exhibition is held there will be a $40 participation fee for each exhibition A

total of $80 will be paid for the 2 exhibitions when the first exhibition is held. ($40x2=$80)

Participation fee will be used to cover the cost of the Group Exhibitions. Any additional costs

related to the Group Exhibitions occurred on top of the participation fee collected, the participants will evenly cover the cost.

Group Exhibition Participation Fee is a separate fee from the annual membership fee.

5. Oakdamhwa annual brochure

Oakdamhwa brochure will be printed once a year
Brochure printing takes approximately 10 days. All participating members are required to

send artist profile, statement, photo, and photo of exhibited artist work via email minimum 10 days before the exhibition date.

Invitation will be designed using Photoshop and distributed via Kakaotalk.

6. Oakdamhwa group First Spring Exhibition

Date: May 16 - 29, 2020 (2weeks)
Venue: Rainbow Studio & Gallery

Theme is Bojagi (보자기)

Bojagi is a rectangular piece of cloth that has been and still used in Korea to wrap, cover, or contain goods and products.

Second winter exhibition will be announced after discussing with the board

7. Rainbow studio Juried Show

Rainbow studio is planning to host a juried show in July of 2020. This juried show will be open

to both Oakdamhwa members and non members. A total of 30 works from 30 artists will be

picked by the juro and held on exhibition.

8. Oakdamhwa will scout for new venues to hold exhibitions. Possible venues could be old age

homes, retirement facilities, hospitals, city halls, community centres, library, and etc.
