Swaying quietly and gently, she viewed the pansies as a fragile flower but she knew better. The quiet flowers endured so much however they still stood with enormous inner strength. Swaying quietly and gently. |
Residing in Oakville, Ontario, I find endless inspiration in nature's beauty. Using acrylics on gallery wrapped canvases, I breathe life into my art, capturing the essence of the world around me. From the serene tranquility of a forest glade to the vibrant colours of blooming flowers, I love infusing my work with bold and vivid hues. Through my paintings, I aim to share this beauty and inspire others to see the world through my eyes. |

Sunny. One of those ginormous sunflowers on a fine summer morning, soaking and giving back the sun's radiance. |
A nymph-like goddess sits in a valley of flowers, her dress flowing as water, nourishing the plants. Inspired by fairytales, greek mythology and Alphonse Mucha style painting.

Spring is a time of rebirth and Poppy's are one of the earliest flowers to emerge. They start as crinkled tight buds but burst force in springs warmth, much as a developing soul bursts forward when emersed in love and support. Shine on! |

My artwork "Magnificent Magnolia" is a celebration of springtime, inspired by the ethereal beauty of magnolia blossoms in full bloom. This felted wool and silk artwork features a magnolia against a verdant green background. The petals are embellished with delicate embroidery, while the heart of the blooming flower shimmers with beads, adding a touch of romance. The magnolia is a symbol of new beginnings, hope and rebirth. This piece serves as a reminder of nature's exquisite beauty and brings a sense of joy and a brighter future to all of us. |

Having flowers around have been documented to increase a persons feeling of happiness and a sense of relaxation. I take this inspiration to create abstracted flowers on my canvas in the hope that it brings about positive effects on our emotional well being
|
There are moments of new beginnings, but there are also times when flowers bloom and come to an end. Don't dwell on that relationship, just wait for the time given by nature, flowers will bloom again, and let's wait for the moment when we meet again. |
Botanical illustrations are one of my favourite subjects due to the detail and medium (watercolour). I am inspired by the mystery and beauty of nature and aim to capture this in my botanical illustrations. Watercolour can be expressive and precise and I feel this mirrors the way nature an be both abstract and unexpected while having elements of structure. |
The place where I always start over. Where i find myself. Where I am me. |
