Kyungmin Kate Lee navigates the corridors of self-discovery and interpersonal connection through her camera's lens, inspired by the revolutionary constructivism of the 1980s and uses digital infrared techniques to bring her perspective on reality to life. Her work aims to capture realistic moments in life, highlighting familiar and diverse places to understand each social space amid changes in geographic life and explore concepts of current identity and sociality. She expresses affection for her past, present, and future life in her photos and videos, inviting viewers into her time and stories. Her work reflects on true identity, choice, conflict, experience, overcoming, and embrace found throughout life. She approaches reality from an observer's point of view, utilizing infrared techniques, color layers based on photographic frames, iterative techniques of images, various variable media, and digital and analog photographs and images in a variety of ways.

Artist Statement
"Each experience builds me in time and space, becoming the reason for living in the present. This exhibition marks the beginning of the year and a new challenge for me. Life is a series of repetitions, and in those years, people progress by recognizing each other. I want to enjoy a moment of life by accepting different thoughts and appearances, embracing the changing colors of life."
