Mother of Pearl painting Exhibition.

In 2021, Okdamhwa's beautiful Korean painting exhibition began.
I live in Canada, but my longing for Korea and feelings for my family remain unchanged.
I was thinking about what topic I should draw this year.
I was inspired by a picture of mother or grandmother in mother-of-pearl soup.
While drawing, I thought of my mom's mother's mother's mother's mother's mother When my mom went out for work, I remembered drawing with my finger on the mother-of-pearl before going to bed.
The day I moved to a detached house for the first time in the town... Throw away the small mother-of-pearl sauce that I used before... On the day when the 12-character mother-of-pearl, dressing table, and cabinet came in... I felt like my family became rich.
At that time, the mother-of-pearl soup... It was my mom's pride.
My mom got older and... I missed the mother-of-pearl that was sent somewhere after she passed away. The smell of lacquer from the new mother-of-pearl still remains at the end of the nose.
I put the memories of Jagaejang in the picture. I put a small forgotten memory in Canada at the end of the brush. Come and open up a memory with your friends.

자개장그림 전시회.

2021년 옥담화의 아름다운 한국화 전시가 시작되었답니다.
캐나다에 살고있지만 아직도 한국에 대한 그리움과 가족에 대한 마음은 변함이 없답니다.
올해에는 어떤 주제로 그림을 그려보면 좋을까 고민을 하다...
엄마나 할머니를 떠 올릴 수있는 자개장 그림에서 영감을 받아서 그려보면 어떨까 생각을 했답니다.
그림을 그리면서 엄마의 자개장도 떠 올렸고... 엄마가 일때문에 나가시면 자기전까지 자개장위에 손가락으로 그림을 따라그렸던 때도 기억이 났답니다...
전에 살던 연립에서 처음으로 단독 주택으로 이사가던날.. 예전에 쓰던 작은 자개장은 버리고...
부잣집에서 살것같은 12자 짜리 자개장, 화장대, 장식장이 들어오던 날에... 우리집이 부자가 된 것같은 기분이 들었답니다.
그때의 자개장은... 엄마의 프라이드였답니다.
엄마가 나이가 들고... 돌아가신 후에 어딘가로 보내졌던 자개장이 그립기도했고...
그때 새 자개장에서 나던 옻칠 냄새도 아직 코 끝에 남아있답니다.
그런 자개장의 추억을 그림에 담아 보았답니다. 캐나다에서 잊혀지는 작은 추억을 붓 끝에 담았답니다. 오셔서 자개장에 담긴 추억 하나쯤 친구분들과 함께 열어보세요...
